Bob started out with a twenty gallon tank which he planted with plants for that died soon after their purchase for reasons he could not ascertain at the time. After a couple of years, he bought a hundred and twenty gallon aquarium and entered the world of fish again. At present he has been an avid tropical fish enthusiast for the past seven years, during which he has learned much about fish keeping, and likes to share the experiences and knowledge he's gained over time with others. He has been called an expert by some, but doesn't see himself as one since, to him, there is always something new to learn and try in this hobby.
As time went on Bob kept facing a basic problem in the hobby: the lack of quality plants. He started to provide his personally propagated plants on a couple of websites to help alleviate this situation. In an attempt to reach great number of aquarists, Bob opened bobstropicalplants.com in July of 2008. His goal is to provide high quality plants, shrimp, and fish to aquarists and local fish stores for their planted tanks, especially because higher quality means better chances for success for hobbyists.
October 2010 Bobstropicalplants.com had its first major site upgrade. Bob installed a easy to use clean store front to his site. With new items being added monthly its becoming even more popular place to shop. In a few short months he decided if he wanted to continue to grow he would need to make his set up more efficient. In April 2010 he started his plans on upgrading his fish room. The new fish room will allow him to be able to stock more fish, plants and inverts.
